Description

She came home to disappear. He never expected her to become the one person his family needed most.

After a devastating surgical mistake destroys Dr. Margaret Gordon’s career, she retreats to her late grandfather’s rural Idaho property, determined to keep the world at a distance.

Then widowed father Joe Wilde asks for her help with Storm, the troubled horse his teenage son, Ryan, can no longer control.

Margaret soon realizes the horse isn’t the real problem. Ryan is hurting, Joe isn’t listening, and the stubborn Wilde father is awakening feelings she thought she’d buried for good.

But when Ryan makes a reckless decision and disappears into the Idaho wilderness on horseback, Joe and Margaret must find him before it’s too late—and Margaret may have to become the doctor she no longer believes she is to save the boy she has come to love.

A heartfelt small-town western romance about family, forgiveness, second chances, and discovering that one mistake doesn’t have to define the rest of your life.

I can't stop reading her books. They are so good. I'm reading one after another. You won't regret any of her books.
  • Male lead is a dud

There is nothing attractive about an adult child passing himself off as a man while throwing tantrums. While the female lead switches from a coward fleeing every uncomfortable emotion to an actual woman speaking her mind, the male is a jerk on every page.
