Description

The Gray Man is back in another nonstop international thriller from the #1 New York Times bestselling coauthor of Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan novels.

Fresh off his first mission back with the CIA, Court Gentry secures what seems like a cut-and-dried contract job: A group of expats in Paris hires him to kidnap the mistress of Syrian dictator Ahmed Azzam to get intel that could destabilize Azzam's regime.

Court delivers Bianca Medina to the rebels, but his job doesn't end there. She soon reveals that she has given birth to a son, the only heir to Azzam's rule--and a potent threat to the Syrian president's powerful wife.

Now, to get Bianca's cooperation, Court must bring her son out of Syria alive. With the clock ticking on Bianca's life, he goes off the grid in a free-fire zone in the Middle East--and winds up in the right place at the right time to take a shot at bringing one of the most brutal dictatorships on earth to a close...

This book was possibly the one I was most excited to read simply on the basis of how the plan we never really flushed out and Violator seemed to have to resort to more of his training than normal. Great read

I just finished this book and today of all days in real life. The rebels in Syria overthrew the dictator government. This book is thrilling packed full of geographical facts and great knowledge of military weapons and equipment. Top notch author gives another top-notch story. And now I’m onto the next one!

Again with the words. Lots of words. I mean, lots and lots of words. But, I guess that’s what we paid for, huh…

One of the weaker gray man books but that speaks less to this book and more to how incredible the series is. Still a fun read and plenty of heart throbbing gentry action
  • Boring - weak villain

I’m a fan of the series but this one is phoned in. Drexler isn’t believable as a super villain, the situation isn’t remotely plausible, and it drones on and on with irrelevant details. The other pmc, British guy shows flashes of humanity and compassion at the bar, indicating he isn’t a murdering robot. Later, a 180 and he loves killing civilians. Overall not good, and a skippable book in the serie.

Just wished, we had operators like this. To take care of some of the bad characters of today.
