Great story and I am assuming that it more or less follows the history of Iran in the present times. I enjoyed it through most of the book, however the ending seemed to be a bit rushed.

This is a lovely tale of friendship and hardships that demonstrates the loyalty and goodness of people faced with difficult circumstances.

This is my second novel from this author. I absolutely love her stories and her writing. It’s been very inspiring to learn about Iran through Marjan’s novels. She brings me to tears with each book. The characters in this book feel so real, you can feel their every emotion. If you’re interested in women’s rights, activism, friendship, resiliency and loyalty, you should read this book. The storyline is addictive.

One of the best stories of the strength of friendship with history intertwined. Could not put this book down. Humbled by it.

I loved this story I couldn’t put it down from the first chapter .

I couldn’t read more than a page or two before falling asleep. Written like a grade schooler, there was nothing in the pages that captivated my attention .. even with reading past 100 pages. So, I stopped reading it.

This story of friendship, dreams, and tyranny brings history to life and is a warning for democracy and women's rights. Enjoyed learning about Iran's history in this fictional context.

Wonderful story, finding a friend who is there forever. One of the best book I have read this year, hard to put down.
