Not the best of Grisham

This story is haphazardly told with a sense of juggling by the author. There are unusual parts weaved in and confusing dialogue that seems to emphasize an incomplete book or an over zealous editor. I almost put it down and wish I had halfway through. The ending is rushed and lacks cohesion from the rest of the book.
Convoluted, boring, useless read.

I kept thinking that this was gonna go somewhere and somehow be exciting, but it meandered on meaninglessly. It kind of read like an old table top book. It seemed like Grisham wanted us to somehow appreciate how hard it was to write a book. I think he convinced me because this one just was not worth it.
An abrupt ending

A page turner, kept me fascinated, and then boom, it was over. Seemed to dismiss the primary character from the ending, and was a bit of a rushed termination.

Great book! I enjoyed all the twists and turns, and the ending tied it all up. I look forward to reading the next book in the series. I’ve been a John Grisham fan for years, and he always comes through with a great novel!

As my first Grisham novel, l was expecting plot twists and cliffhangers. Nope, not one. You can see the whole story from the beginning and it delivers each expected development on a simple plodding drumbeat.
Very enjoyable read
